PSYC 4803 Science & Pseudoscience
An overview of the scientific method and how it is used to evaluate pseudoscientific claims. The focus is on critical thinking, hypothesis testing and burden of proof. Topics include a range of pseudoscientific claims from parapsychology to alternative medicine and mass hysteria. Prerequisites: PSYC 1003 and sophomore standing. Course Rotation: Varies.
